As we are based in Switzerland, we operate in compliance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP). Where we offer services to users within the European Economic Area, we additionally comply with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Swiss data protection law is recognised by the EU as providing an equivalent level of protection to GDPR.
Because we offer our services globally, we apply these rigorous data protection standards as our baseline for all users, regardless of their country of residence.

3.4 Data relating to users under 18
Nouta KI is an educational service available to students aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. For users under 13, parental consent is required. The student will need in that case to enter the contact details of a parent to whom an automatic email will be sent to request confirmation. Only after confirmation can the student be invited to register.
Our primary legal basis for processing user data is the performance of a contract, that is, delivering the tutoring service the user has registered for. Under GDPR Article 8, parental consent requirements apply specifically when processing is based on consent and the service is directed solely at children. As an educational platform whose legal basis is contractual performance, and consistent with how advisory and educational services are treated under applicable law, we do not require blanket parental consent for users aged 13 and above.
We do, however, apply additional protections for younger users:
- • We collect only the minimum data necessary to deliver the service
- • We do not send marketing communications to users under 16 without explicit opt-in
- • We do not share data of users under 18 with third parties beyond operational necessity
- • Parents or guardians may contact us at any time to request access to or deletion of data
